The Gulets

Gulets are large, wooden Turkish motorsailers. Poseidon Charters is pleased to announce that we will be conducting
several of the 'Archaeological Cruises' aboard these fabulous traditional ships. Gulets come with a Turkish captain and crew and sleep from 6 to 10 guests comfortably, in double and single bed cabins, with private washroom facilities. All gulets have a motorised tender (runabout) and come equipped with a windsurfer. Most gulets are air-conditioned and have comfortable saloons with Turkish carpets, an exterior dining table and large, open, teak decks with sun beds. Gulets use their engine most of the time to travel, as they do not sail towards the wind very well, but when they do raise sail it is a dramatic site. If you do not mind compromising sailing action for more room and comfort then a ''gulet' Archaeological Cruise' is what you want!
