Meet the Crew

Mike and Lizzy

Between them Mike and Lizzy have a wealth of sailing experience gained over many years prior to taking the plunge and leaving their previous careers and becoming professional sailors in 2013. They had always talked about sailing around the world and are enjoying their second year in Greece living the dream!

Mike - Skipper

Mike is a Commercially Endorsed Yachtmaster and Cruising Instructor who first went to sea at 6 months old!  He has sailed in many areas of Europe and hopes to go further afield to the Far East and the Caribbean given the opportunity.  Back in the UK Mike has raced and cruised extensively, including the Fastnet Race and the Round Britain and Ireland Race. He enjoys taking other people out to sea and passing on his enthusiasm for this pastime and rarely takes no for an answer.

Lizzy - 1st Mate

Inspite of growing up about as far from the sea as you can be in Britain, Lizzy always felt drawn to it; a journey that has taken her from capsizing Toppers at university to RYA Cruising Instructor, via the odd Cowes week or two!  The multi-tasker she became as a teacher comes in handy when swapping from hostess to crew and back! The job suits her well as it combines her love of travel (Southern Africa, Australasia, South America and a good chunk of Europe already ticked off by land and sea), food and, of course, sailing!
