Sailing Courses in the Saronic Greece

Every sailing school is different. Your enjoyment of your sailing course depends to a large extent on getting a good match between you and the school you choose. To help you make the right decision we have a free guide to choosing a sailing school. Click here to get your free copy and to be put on our mailing list for special offers.

Sailing Area

This is an excellent area in which to learn to sail. We normally have good winds and lots of sunshine. The islands and ports you will visit are very Greek and relatively unspoiled by foreign tourism. Our base is in a very busy harbour, but once you start sailing you will soon find you are away from the crowds. find out more about our sailing area…

The Tuition

Our school developed as a result of requests from clients on our sailing holidays who wanted to obtain a certificate. We specialise in 'learn to sail' holidays for couples and families and try to keep a relaxed atmosphere on board. Most days you will be able to take some time off to swim or go sight-seeing.

Private Instruction for Couples and Singles

Our teaching yachts are particularly comfortable for a couple or two singles. Book a private course and enjoy plenty of individual attention from your Instructor and a little more privacy on board. At the beginning and end of the season we often run courses for two or three individuals traveling alone, at a very reasonable price. Contact us for details.

The Down Side

The weather in July and August can be very hot, and yachts don't have air-conditioning! Many students prefer to sleep in the cockpit or on deck during these months, but if this is not for you then we suggest you avoid the mid summer period.

This area does not have marinas and so you will not be 'marina-hopping'. At night you will moor at town quays or in fishing harbours. You may spend one night at anchor. This is part of the charm of sailing in Greece, but you must expect some noise. This can range from motor bikes at night to cockerels in the morning. ..

The yachts have showers, but there are few showers or other facilities for yachtsmen in many of the places you will visit. Normally you will be connected to shore power a couple of times during the week, but you won't be able to use a hairdryer or charge your mobile phone every day.

English Not Your First Language?

A quarter of our students have English as a second language. Our Instructors are experienced in dealing with this and for 2007 we are producing some special materials to help you. We have a wide range of students ...

Tell Us What You Want - We'll Try to Do It

We are a small family business, not a big impersonal school, so we try to offer you an individual service. Ask us about hotels, airport transfers, diving, and sight-seeing trips. Do you want to visit Athens to see the historical sites? Would you like to relax for a few days on an island after your course? We'll try to help. We can arrange sight-seeing trips, diving and water ski-ing on request.
